Doodles And Journals

I've just got the Doodles Unleashed book by Traci Bautista. I tied out some of the exercises to make these journal pages above, and below.

I also worked on another insomnia page.

Ceramic Platters

I made these ceramic platters at the mums and kids clay workshop at Campbelltown Arts Centre. We used leaves and various other objects to imprint the clay before it was fired and glazed.

Here are a couple of double page spreads from my journals. Mostly in acrylic paint and a little collage.

Illness

I've been ill for the last 2 weeks and I've not got much art done. I did manage a couple of pages in my diary though.

And also this painting over a photograph.

Poster Journal

Front Cover

I have just taken the Poster Journal class with Jennibellie. I made this book with 10 flip out A3 size pages.

The pages are A3 cartridge paper and the cover is a cereal box! Its decorated with acrylics, scrapbook and book papers, along with a piece of an old shirt. You can see the rainbow binding stitch on the spine.

I'm not sure what I'm going to put inside yet - watch this space.

Words of the Year 2015

This year I am keeping 2 art diaries. See previous post for how to make the one above. I chose my words for the year - Connection and Present.

I used Gelli prints, face stencils, acrylics, Copic markers, paint pens, and coloured pencils for the page. The tags used dictionary pages, washi tape, paint pens and stickers.

This is one page in an actual commercially made diary. It's just markers, paint pens, coloured pencil and white charcoal.
