Journal Pages


The journal page above has an acrylic ink background. The tree shapes were blown with a straw. A cotton reel print for the eyes and the rest of the owl in paint pens. The poem is a traditional children's poem that I like.

The page below uses collage and acrylics.


This tag was made for the Lulu Art challenge. It started with a Gelli print and then the background is acrylic. Graphite and paint pens for the details.




Experiments in Screenprinting


I've been experimenting with making my own screens for screen printing. I used old curtain nets for the fabric and embroidery hoops and an old canvas stretcher for the frames. The paint is all standard acrylic and my squeegee was an old credit card. The prints above and below were made using paper stencils.



I placed objects (string and leaves) under the screen to get these prints. I need to find some finer string and thinner leaves!


Finally here is another fabric flag made with my last painting cloth experiment.
