Ammonite

I have been taking "Stitch and Slash" on-line course from Craftsy. Here is my piece inspired by an ammonite fossil cut in half. I used mainly cotton fat quarters, one of which had a batik design, and organza for the shiny gold. It's been embellished with metallic threads and free machine stitching.

Sewing Projects

I am taking a class called "Stitch and Slash" by Craftsy. This is my initial experiment with the technique - I have a plan for a larger piece in the shape of an ammonite. The website also offers free courses including this basic quilting class that I took a while back.

Above is another ATC made from a Gelli print, free embroidered and coloured with Inktense pencils.
