A Little Sewing

I've been making some mini quilts for some swaps. Above is my first attempt at a mug rug. Below is a stitched journal page with the theme "pattern".

In another swap the challenge was to make a Teesha Moore style patch with a pocket. She shows how to make them in a 4 part video series.

I made a fabric Teesha style girl for my pocket which was transferred to fabric from a previous collage I had made using transfer artists paper.

Rainbow of Emotions Book

I was inspired by the work of Teesha Moore to make this zig-zag book. She has lots of great tutorials on You Tube.

I made this book from a single long strip of water colour paper first painted with acrylics. Collage from Gelli prints, book papers, sheet music and magazine pictures was added on top. Further doodling and text was added to the collage layer with Posca paint pens.

Emotions are not black and white

Anger

Warmth

Happiness

Calm

Sadness

Lonliness

Pride

Mermaid Circus

Mermaid Circus was an on-line workshop from Jane Davenport and Teesha Moore. Mixed media, including watercolours, acrylics, pencils, markers and collage, was used to make 2 books featuring lots of mermaids.
