No Sew Fabric Vessel
I have finished the first of my fabric vessels. It's made with acrylic felt and organza fused together with a soldering iron. Not a single stitch in sight.

Colourful Deconstructed Screen Prints
I had some dye thickener left over from another project so I used it to make another batch of deconstructed screen prints. This time I remembered to wrap the fabric in plastic so it wouldn't dry out before the dyes had time to react; the result was much brighter prints. I used a few large leaves from my garden to make the patterns on the screens. I didn't clean the leaves when I changed dyes which gave a nice variety on the screen where it picked up colour from the previous screen.

Dyed Bright
I've been experimenting with applying thickened Procion dyes with credit cards and stencils. The colours I've used are really bright!

More Leaves in progress
Here's a second melted leaf vessel in progress in a slightly different colourway. It's actually a lot more green in real life.

Leaves in Progress
I'm starting a new melted piece which is eventually going to be a vessel. This is the start with organza leaves made with a reverse applique technique using the soldering iron instead of stitching.

Monoprint Madness
I've been monoprinting anything that stays still long enough. I've tried out paper and different fabrics. It seems you can print on anything except the very squashy fabrics such as felt.
I used some monoprints with stencilling to make this book.

Monoprints on Fabric
I've been experimenting with monoprinting on fabric with acrylics and block printing inks. You can see the basic technique in this video by DMTV.
On some of my prints I decided to leave the paper pattern on the back of the fabric and print with second, third and fourth colours.
Block printing ink gave a stronger colour than acrylics.
I used and uninspiring Gelli print for the base of this print, adding the circles over the top.
