This month at WAQA we had a workshop on composition. We discussed the various rules in composition such as rule of thirds, S curve, and focal points. We chopped up some card shapes to try out various composition tricks.
Back at home I used my new skills to try out different compositions using my images of cairns.
I tried out some of my favourite compositions on larger paper using oil pastel rubbings and watercolour wash.
I made this last composition with photographs, text, oil pastel and watercolour.
