Pattern and Colour - Finding a Balance


Today I took some of my printed pebbles and cut them up, rearranged them, and stuck them back together.




These are my favourite and are even brighter with a little PhotoShopping.




All my experiments are getting very colourful and patterned. I'm going to need to introduce some more neutrals and plain areas to stop the viewer's eyes going crazy!



I think this one has a better balance of colours and patterns.


It's great working with collage because none of these designs are stuck down yet. I like how you can play around with different ideas before committing. Taking photos help too, especially for cutting out messy, background, distractions!
