Printing Workshops – Block, Lino, Mono

 

Basic Mono-Printing on Fabric

In this workshop find out how to make interesting mono-prints and image transfers on fabric using block ink. Images can be “drawn” free-form or you can bring your designs or photographs printed out onto ordinary copy paper ready to transfer onto fabric. Use commercial stencils to enhance you prints and create interesting backgrounds.

Block Printing with Handmade Foam Stamps on Paper and/or Fabric

Make your own unique stamps with craft foam. Use block inks to print singles and repeats onto paper and/or fabric. Combine colours or make graduated colour prints. Ideal for making wrapping paper or patterned fabric.

Basic Lino Cutting and Printing

Use lino tools to cut your own unique block to print on paper or fabric. Learn tips for marking out your design, cutting and repeating. Print your design in a range of colours and repeat patterns. Lino blocks can be taken home to use in other projects.

Reduction Lino Cutting

Design and cut your very own lino block to make a multi-coloured print. We will use the reduction technique to make several copies of your design or pattern. Lino blocks will be destroyed in the process of making this piece so make sure you print several to take home!

Lino Cutting, Stencil Combination

Make multi-coloured block prints with the lino and stencil method. In this workshop you will carve your very own lino block design and make a stencil or stencils to go with it. Print you design in several colour combinations to see which you like best. Lino blocks and stencils can be taken home to experiment with further.
