Prayer flags are traditionally made in Tibet and are used to carry messages on the wind. In this workshop you will make your own flags from scrap fabrics and mixed media. Take them home and decorate your garden or patio area.

You’ll be surprised to learn what can be sent “naked” through the mail. In this workshop you will use fabric scraps, mixed media and machine stitch to make several fabric postcards to send to friends. Participants will need to bring their own sewing machines.
Textiles Slash and Burn
Why sew and cut when you can slash and burn? In this experimental textiles workshop find out how to cut and “sew” with a soldering iron. Participants will need to bring their own soldering iron and facemask.
Long Course – Textile and Mixed Media Sculptures
Textiles is not just about flat fabrics! In this multi-session workshop we will make mixed media and textile panels which we will then assemble into a sculpture. Participants will need to bring their own sewing machines.
Long Course – Introduction to Experimental Textiles for Beginners
Experiment with all sorts of textiles and techniques in this multi-session workshop. Begin by dyeing and printing your own fabrics which you will then use in projects of your choice which may include, quilting, sculpture and wall-hangings.
I’m available to teach in-person workshops for children, adults, schools and community groups. Tools and equipment are provided for all classes unless otherwise stated, consumable materials can be provided on request.
